Laura Clarizio
At age seven my second grade teacher Mrs. Allison Spatola assigned me my very first If I Had a Magic Carpet essay. I remember sitting on my rug dreaming of all the wonderful adventures me and my carpet could have together.
Years later I decided to share my fantasy with children, hoping they too would use their imagination and share my love for reading and writing. I decided to combine the magic carpet adventures with life lessons that could help keep children safe.
As a television reporter I covered so many tragedies involving children. The books are away for me to give back and hopefully keep kids out of harms way while having a magical carpet ride.
After graduating from Boston University, I began my television career, reporting and producing, for international, national, and local news organizations in New York, Rhode Island, and Boston. In addition to my television career I am a radio anchor in Rhode Island. I hope all of you have as much fun reading the books as I have creating them!
